Between 2008 and 2010, Kathy Foggia and Jeff Caracci of the Italian American Cultural Center of Iowa conducted over 30 interviews of Italian residents in Iowa, many of them Italian immigrants or first-generation Italian-Americans. The purpose of this project was to document first-hand the Italian-American experience in Iowa.

In 2014, film students from the Des Moines Area Community College edited some of these interviews to create short documentary videos as part of a course project. Here are some of those videos.
